Questions people actually ask
- What counts as an event?
- One error is one event; one transaction is one event. Spans, sessions, breadcrumbs and attachments are not metered, so instrumenting more deeply does not raise your bill.
- What happens when I hit the limit?
- The default is a hard cap: ingest stops and we tell you, at 80% and again at 100%. You are never billed for something you did not opt into. Turn on overage and it keeps flowing at the per-100k rate instead.
- Do I pay for everyone who wants to look?
- No. Viewers are free and unlimited on every plan, including Free. The member count covers people who can change things.
- Can I use my existing SDKs?
- Yes — Bugwatch speaks the Sentry envelope protocol on ingest, so it works with Sentry SDKs. Point the DSN at us and keep your instrumentation exactly as it is.
- Who is the seller?
- Whichever provider bills your organization, and the page says which before you buy. Your org is assigned one the first time it pays and stays on it.
